Od kontrade do kontrade

Savičenta je odlično geografski smještena jer se do većine gradova u Istri može doći za pola sata.

Savičenta u određenim periodima godine nudi odlične kulturne programe, možete otići na različite radionice, pogledati plesne predstave, otići u plesni centar. Za jedno malo mjesto to je puno sadržaja.

Savičentu je u početku upoznavala preko kratkih priča Savičenta in the morning Darka Pekice. Prema opisima je obilazila lokacije i prepoznavala savičentske likove.

Jedva vidljiv natpis terapijska zajednica na stambenoj zgradi ostao je od vremena kad se snimao film Maršal Vinka Brešana.

Još uvijek je fascinira slikovitost slojeva na oronulim fasadama neobnovljenih kuća.

Konzervator je stručna osoba koja treba pomoći pri obnovi nekog kulturnog zaštićenog objekta, savjetovati, ponuditi idealno rješenje, naći neki kompromis između svakodnevnog življenja i zaštite spomenika kao takvog.

Bilo joj je zanimljivo Savičentu istraživati i u kontekstu vlastite struke jer je u kaštelu, loži, trgu prepoznavala arhitektonske spomenike iz različitih perioda.

Bilo bi lijepo da se pješačka zona proteže do glavog trga.

Ako mora nešto obaviti u mjestu, onda ide glavnom ulicom, žilom kucavicom. Kad želi izbjeći gužvu, koristi neuređenu bočnu uličicu koju turisti koriste u manjoj mjeri ili za nju ne znaju. No najdraža joj je rekreativna ruta po šumama. Savičenština je bogata putevima i premrežena stazama, ugodnima za šetnju ili trčanje. Za vrijeme korone i online nastave šetnja je služila kao odmor od ekrana. Marija i njezina prijateljica Mirjana šetale su svaki dan.

Pronalazile smo nove puteve, provlačile se, presijecale, zalutale, pokisle, svačega je bilo. Znale smo dnevno napraviti i po 15 km.

Vraćala sam se jedanput kući glavnom ulicom. Bila je zimska večer, tišina, maglica i sve je bilo mirno. U desnom izlogu dućana uvijek je navečer bila upaljena jedna lampica, poput kazališnog svjetla uperenog iz žablje perspektive, iz donjeg rakursa. Prolazeći te večeri onuda odjednom krajičkom oka primijetim da se u izlogu nešto miče. Pogledam, a kad ono, ostala je mačka unutra, Irena ju je zaboravila izbacit’ van. Igra se, skače, izvodi ludorije! Mački je to bilo zanimljivo, napravila je svoj performans sa sjenama! ‘Ma gle koje kazalište!’ pomislila sam.

Mislim da će Irenin dućan jako faliti starijim generacijama jer su oni navikli ondje kupovati obuću i odjeću.

To je betonski zid koji dijeli javni prostor od privatnog. Izgleda monumentalno. Želim vjerovati da zid neće ostati ovakav, nego da će vlasnik, kad je već uložio u unutarnju hortikulturu, uložiti i u uređenje zida kao takvog i izvana, napraviti jedan suživot estetike i funkcionalnosti.

Savičenta has a great geographic location, you can reach most towns in Istria in 30 minutes.

Savičenta offers excellent culture programmes in certain periods of the year, you can attend workshops, see dance performances, visit the dance centre. That’s a lot for a small town.

Initially, she got to know Savičenta through the collection of short stories Savičenta in the morning by Darko Pekica. She would visit the sites described and recognise the characters from Savičenta.

She is still fascinated with the vivid layers of decrepit façades of houses that have not been renovated.

A conservator is an expert who should assist in the renovation of a protected cultural property, provide advice, offer an ideal solution, strike a balance between everyday life and monument protection.

She found it interesting to explore Savičenta as an artist as she recognised the castle, loggia, square as architectural monuments from different periods.

It would be nice if the pedestrian zone stretched all the way to the main square.

If she has an errand to run in town, she takes the main street. When she wants to avoid the crowds, she takes a side street the tourists usually don’t take, or don’t know. But she prefers the recreational forest route. Savičenta has a network of paths and routes suitable for both walking and jogging. During lockdown, when classes were held online, a walk in the forest was her way of taking a screen break. Marija and her friend Mirjana went for walks every day.

We found new routes, shortcuts, wandered, got lost, got wet, a lot of things happened. There were times when we walked for 15 kilometres.

Once I was taking the main street to get home.  It was a winter night, quiet, misty, peaceful. In the evenings, there was always a light on in the right shop window, like a stage light, pointed from below. Passing there that night, I suddenly saw out of the corner of my eye that something was moving in the window. I glanced back, and there was a cat inside, Irene forgot to throw it out. It was playing, jumping around, having fun! The cat had its own shadow play! “Look at this performance!” I thought.

I think Irene’s shop will be greatly missed by the elderly residents, since they are used to buying clothes and shoes there.

This is a concrete wall separating the public and private space. It looks monumental.  I want to believe that the wall won’t stay this way, but that the owner, having invested in landscaping in his private space, will also invest in repairing the wall on the outside, ensuring both form and function.
